TheChinese Economists Society (CES)calls for paper submissions for its2011 CES China Conference, to be held inBeijingduringJune 17-19, 2011.The local host for the conference isUniversity of International Business and Economics (UIBE).The theme of the conference is“Ten Years after WTO Accession: China and World Economy”.The conference consists of keynote and invited talks, roundtable forums and parallel sessions. All speeches and sessions are arranged on June 18 and 19, while June 17 is for conference registration, and June 20 is reserved for sight-seeing and free activities.
CES invites both CES and non-CES members to present a paper at the 2011 Conference. All fields of specialization within economics will be considered. Papers focusing on the Chinese economy and on the proposed conference theme such as China's economic relations with Asian and other countries will be given preferences.The paper submission deadline is March 1st, 2011.
INDIVIDUAL PAPER SUBMISSIONS
Individual paper submissions in English should include an abstract of less than 400 words and should be submitted via CES website atwww.china-ces.org. You may submit only one paper. For your second paper, it must be submitted and (if accepted,) presented by your co-author.You will receive a notification by e-mail once your paper is accepted (or rejected) by March 15th, 2011.Once selected, the completed paper should be submitted online by May 15, 2011.

If you would like to organize one or more sessions on a specific topic and have speakers/presenters lined up, please contact Professor Shaomin Huang for approval at SESSION ORGANIZERSshuang@lcmail.lcsc.edubyFebruary 15th, 2011.The organized session should consist of between 3 and 4 papers. The session chair should submit the title of the session, the titles of the papers, the names of session presenters and their e-mails. Please note that Individual papers must still go through the regular paper submission process through the CES website. However, the "Comments" section of the form should make reference to the special session (e.g., "this paper is part of a special session on Productivity Effects of FDI organized by Prof. Yanling Wang). The applicable submission deadline is also March 15th, 2011.

GREGORY CHOW BEST PAPER AWARD
Two (2) outstanding papers presented at the annual CES conferences by junior scholars will be considered automatically for the Gregory Chow Best Paper Award. To be eligible for consideration, the primary author of the paper must be a graduate student or those who received their PhD within the last five years. Recipients of the award will receive a certificate and US$1,000. Please indicate your eligibility at the submission.
High-quality papers presented at the conference will be solicited for consideration for special issues inChina Economic Review and Journal of Chinese Economic and Foreign Trade Studies.
All presenters must register for the Conference. Registration can be made online through the conference website atwww.china-ces.orgunder “Conferences”. You may wait to register until you find out whether your paper is accepted. Paper presenters must register for the Conference by June 1st, 2011, otherwise, your paper will be removed from the conference program.

US$225/RMB¥1450 (same for all participants). Online registration will be closed after June 10th, 2011.
All participants are encouraged to pay by credit cards online via the CES conference website. Those who could not pay online can pay the registration fee by depositing at the provided bank account (please indicate that this is for the registration fee for the CES conference) and sending the “Registration.doc” toshuang@lcmail.lcsc.edu.
English paper presenters with valid CES memberships will receive free three (3) nights’ stay at a four or five-star hotel for a shared hotel room (double occupancy), in addition to conference materials and free meals. Paper presenters do have the option to pay an additional US$50 per night per person in order not to share the room. Please indicate your preference at the time of submission.
